Is ScrubExif really private?
Yes — by design, not by promise. This site is a static page with no backend. When you drop a photo in, the cleaning code runs inside your own browser tab, in memory. There is no server that could receive, store or leak your files. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it keeps working.
What can I do here?
Two things: inspect the full metadata of a photo to see what it reveals, and scrub that metadata away. Both work right on this page — no account, no queue, no watermark.
Which file formats are supported?
JPEG/JPG, PNG and WebP — the formats nearly all photos on phones and the web use. HEIC (iPhone native) is on the roadmap; export to JPEG first for now.
Does it cost anything?
